1) Read page 2. What is KISS FM's mission?
To make sure every second spent listening to us is worthwhile. We do this by churning out well thought and professionally packaged programs for public consumption. We have a variety of programs designed for different segments of society.

2) Look at page 3. What is the target audience for KISS FM? As well as writing the key statistics from the media pack, try and suggest what psychographic groups would fit the KISS audience too.
It is primarily aimed at the 15-34 age group and broadcasts nationally to the UK on DAB Digital Radio. The station started as Kiss FM - a 1980s pirate radio station that was to become the UK's first legal radio station

media and technology to reach its audience?

Most radio stations archive past broadcasts on their official websites, for listeners to access on-demand. Studio webcams and social media have changed the audience relationship with radio by making listeners feel more connected to the presenters.

9) How does the KISS FM Breakfast show contrast with Tony Blackburn's 1967 Radio 1 Breakfast show and the launch of BBC Radio 1?
 The radio broadcast is complemented by the online presence. this enables the audience to engage with the show and share their views with both the radio station and other listeners.

10) Use Stuart Hall's Reception theory to offer a preferred and oppositional reading of the KISS FM Breakfast show. For the preferred reading, why do fans love the show? On the oppositional side, why might someone criticise the show or not want to listen?
suggested that media texts contain a variety of messages that are encoded (made/inserted) by producers and then decoded (understood) by audiences.

They first broadcasted in 7 October 1985 as a pirate radio station, initially to south London then across the whole city, on 94fm.

3) How does KISS FM make money and how much revenue did Bauer Media Group make in 2020?
They make money by advertising to there audiences and a primary source of revenue to Kiss FM radio. The Bauer Media Group makes a revenue of 1.5 billion by employing 11 thousand people in around 70 countries

4) How many listeners does the KISS Breakfast show have and how has this changed in recent years?
1.16 million listeners listen to Kiss Breakfast show.

5) How is KISS FM regulated and what can happen if they break the rules?
KISS FM is regulated by a broadcaster is licensed by of cam to run the commercial radio service.
